**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job responsibilities**
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Manage Production Support as an AS400 Admin and collaborate with Engineering groups on critical projects
- Assist in daily administration of IBM I Series computer hardware and software
- Assist in remote migrations from on-premise to private data center movements
- Create implementation guides, standard operating procedures, known error records, and knowledgebase articles.
- Handle backup/restore, performance tuning, and configuration of environments.
- Work with IBM PMR support team for technical issue resolution.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Formal training or certification on Technology Support concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Monitor & administer automated production scheduling system.
- Manage performance, including CPU threads, utilization, and capacity.
- Build and deploy non-x86 (AS 400) stacks.
- Troubleshoot batch jobs on AS/400 for day/month-end procedures
- Hands-on experience with System i Navigator and HMC GUI.

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting
- Working understanding of public cloud
