**Job Description for Design Faculty MYP/DP**

The role is to facilitate the understanding of Product Design for Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP) students.

Establish Design curriculum Teaching as per MYP/DP requirements utilizing effective teaching techniques Skills - Excellent academic background in General Technology and other relevant fields like Physics, Mechanical Design, and Geometry.

**Experience**:Entry Level (Freshers)

**Key responsibilities**:

- Design independently and collaboratively a comprehensive design course for the MYP & DP as per IB guidelines.
- Inculcate passion for innovation, problem solving and design thinking among students.
- Set up and maintain a product design lab.
- Train the students for handling tools and machinery in the lab.
- Facilitate inquiry-based, conceptual and contextual learning.
- Support the induction of new students into Design field.
- Monitor ongoing progress and design creative and differentiated assessments as per IB MYP/DP standards.
- Take an active role in the wider curriculum, participating in extracurricular activities.
- Stay updated with MYP/DP Curriculum and IB community.

**Skills & Proficiency**:

- Use of Software like CAD-CAM, Sketch Up, LEGO for ease of concept design and enhance interest and importance towards Digital Technology.
- Design unit based on real life situations and promote student agency and set inquiry based on design cycle.
- Must be fluent in English.
