**SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)**

**Job Purpose**:

- This R&D Scientist position is part of the New Business Development (NBD) Team at Bangalore.
- The R&D Scientist will be responsible for the preparation and testing of next-generation materials and product formulations under the supervision of a Formulation Development Scientist to support various product development projects and initiatives.
- The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support to the product development scientist for the development of next-generation materials and products to support various Product Development activities and growth initiatives at MAES.

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake preparation and characterization of new product formulations under the supervision of a Product Development Scientist.
- He/She will have responsibility for working independently to produce and evaluate a range of formulations in accordance with target product specifications.
- He/She is expected to have full familiarity with standard chemistry lab tools and practices and be capable of working independently.
- He/She is expected to keep record of tests results and prepare reports of all evaluation as per the standard format.
- He/She is expected to manage inventory of raw materials, test vehicles and other consumables required during product development and testing.
- He/She will need to have good communication and presentation skills and be willing to work in a R&D environment.
- He/She is expected to maintain record of observations and run conditions during batch production. Record quality test results. Produces necessary reports and new SOPs.
- He/She is expected to undertake preventive maintenance of equipment used for project execution, including - installation, calibration and routine use.
- He/She is expected to follow good EHS practices and suggest improvements as appropriate.
- He/She is expected to follow operating procedures, work instructions and process documents in compliance of laboratory ISO Registration.
- He/She is expected to perform other duties & projects as assigned.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- The position requires either MSc in Chemistry or MTech degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science or Material Science or a closely related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in an industrial or academic research environment is desirable.
- He/She will have responsibility for working independently to produce and evaluate a range of formulations in accordance with targeted product specifications.

- Masters in Chemistry
