Home Vaccination Nurse

**Job Summary**:
The Home Vaccination Nurse is responsible for administering vaccinations to adults and children in a home healthcare setting. This role requires clinical expertise, administrative skills, and a commitment to following all relevant rules and regulations governing vaccinations in India. The Nurse will also play a vital role in taking patient vitals and ensuring the smooth facilitation of home vaccination services.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Vaccination Administration**:

- Administer vaccines to adults and children following standard vaccination protocols and guidelines.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and medical history, before administering vaccines.
- Safely handle and store vaccines according to the recommended guidelines.
- Ensure proper disposal of medical waste associated with vaccination procedures.

2. **Patient Assessment**:

- Take and record patient vitals, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Assess patients for any contraindications or adverse reactions to vaccines and report any concerns promptly.
- Monitor patients for any immediate post-vaccination reactions and provide appropriate care as necessary.

3. **Documentation and Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vaccination details, medical history, and vital signs.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for vaccination documentation in India.
- Record adverse events, if any, and report them to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

4. **Patient Education**:

- Provide information and education to patients and their caregivers regarding the importance of vaccinations, vaccine schedules, and potential side effects.
- Answer patient inquiries and address concerns related to vaccinations.

5. **Administrative Duties**:

- Coordinate with healthcare agencies and patients to schedule vaccination appointments.
- Ensure the availability of necessary vaccination supplies and equipment.
- Maintain inventory of vaccines and medical supplies and facilitate reordering as needed.
- Process and maintain accurate billing and insurance documentation as required.

6. **Safety and Infection Control**:

- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Follow all safety and occupational health guidelines in line with Indian healthcare regulations.

7**. Compliance**:

- Stay updated on the latest vaccination guidelines and recommendations as per the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to vaccinations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State/Nursing Council of India.
- Proven experience in vaccination administration and patient care.
- Strong knowledge of vaccination schedules and protocols in India.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Attention to detail and strong record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate empathy, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic health records.

**Work Experience**:

- One year experience would be ideal, but freshers can also apply

**Working Conditions**:

- The Home Vaccination Nurse will primarily work in patients' homes, requiring travel to various locations.
- May need to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on patient needs.

**Salary**: ₹11,285.69 - ₹15,000.00 per month
