**Job Summary**:
The Commis I - Continental is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality continental cuisine. This role requires culinary skills, discipline, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-paced kitchen environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook continental dishes as per the standard recipes and plating guidelines.
- Ensure mise en place is completed prior to service.
- Assist with inventory control, portioning, and food cost management.
- Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in training and guiding junior staff (Commis II/III) when required.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

**Skills**
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a continental cuisine environment.
- Strong knowledge of continental food preparation techniques and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen with a team.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long hours.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 25 lbs).
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
