**Introduction**:
**What will you be doing?**
- Analysis:

- Assistance as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications if required.
- Technical Leadership:

- Participate and lead the technical architecture across all regulations and not just Transaction / Trade reporting
- Provide dev leadership and technical guidance to the OneReg team
- Design:

- Interpret and understand functional specifications
- Design and prototype user-centric front and back end components
- Code:

- Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) Java code
- Hands on development of Autosys, Unix, and Perl scripts, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications
- Understand RDBMS and also involve in performance tuning of the SQL queries.
- Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
- Performance Tuning:

- Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback

**What we’re looking for**:

- 16+ years of Core Java & Enterprise Software development experience
- 12+ years of experience in the areas of Multithreading, Memory management and handling high volumes of data processing
- Database experience is required, knowledge of RDBMS SQL Server / Oracle is preferred
- Team Management experience is not-essential.
- SQL, PL/SQL experience is mandatory
- Big Data / Hadoop technology work experience is nice to have
- Cloud Experience is a desirable skill.
- JVM performance tuning, garbage collection optimisation experience will be helpful
- Strong track record of execution and results, high level of drive to meet deadlines and targets.
- Strong proven analytical background
- Strong knowledge of investment banking front to back processes and Operations.
- Knowledge of recent regulatory initiatives within ESMA or other E.U regions

**Skills that will help you in the role**
- Good experience of regulatory projects (particularly in the areas of Operations)
