Introduction:
Trade and Transaction Reporting (TTR) IT provides technology solutions to meet the firm’s regulatory reporting obligations for its derivative businesses. The group reports both listed and OTC derivative products to global regulatory bodies, including the CFTC, SEC, FSA, JFSA and regulators in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore, with special focus on the derivatives reporting required under the Dodd-Frank act and MIFID regulation.
This individual will be responsible for the test deliveries within Trade and Transaction Reporting Team (TTR) to meet our regulatory deliverable responsibilities.

What will you be doing?
- This role requires both direct hands-on testing and then building the test automation framework, plus some overall test planning responsibilities i.e.
- Estimation of effort by providing timelines with no. of resources required
- Be confident in making decisions with regards to testing scope, timelines, quality and risk and communicate all decisions to the PO and escalate issues to Management in a timely manner
- Identifying test conditions from project documentation, liaise with Developers and PO’s in order to develop test cases which provide full test coverage.
- Work closely with business analysts and developers to ensure appropriate test coverage and discover any loop holes.
- Execute test scripts, reporting daily on progress and defects. Work with developers to resolve issues during test phase.
- Ensure functionality is tested against requirements, validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process.
- Create a detailed automated test suite of new functionality and improvise existing test suites in terms of quality, performance etc.
- Writing Test cases and setting up corresponding test data as needed.
- Interacting with SQL server database for verification and validation of all Backend operations.

What we’re looking for:

- 5+ years of functional testing experience and good hands on experience in Test Automation on industry standard framework such as Cucumber, Selenium and testing tools using core Java, Java script.
- Strong Quality Analyst within an investment bank
- Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Good Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and good exposure to Agile methodology
- Able to work with remote team members and proactively interact with wider teams to resolve any roadblocks.
- Ability to deal with senior IT management and proven ability to communicate issues to both a technical and non-technical audience
- In depth knowledge of and proven track record in software testing lifecycle
- Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Skills that will help you in the role:

- A proven track record of testing in an agile/iterative environment (DevOps, SCRUM, BDD, TDD)
- Significant experience in testing middleware, web services and SOA
- Expert in middleware Automated Testing approaches and specially using core Java, Selenium
- Proficient in SQL and backend testing
- Self-motivated and assertive
- Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- IT Related Bachelor’s Degree and formal certifications in the languages / test tools listed above
- Experience of CI Solutions/Tools - e.g. GIT, Team City, Maven, subversion
- Strong knowledge and experience in Functional testing
- Good to have experience of developing code using Core Java, XML technologies.
- Good working experience on Java, Unix, Perl/Shell Scripting, Perl/SQL Server databases
- Experience in shell script, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber and Test Driven Development (TDD) using Test NG
