**INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CULINARY ARTS, NEW DELHI** Creating Excellence in Hospitality **JOB DESCRIPTION** **Job Title : Faculty Sous Chef** **Reporting to : Executive Chef** **Synergy : Executive chef & MD/COO** **Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications** - Good communication & computer skills - IHM Graduate & MBA in Hospitality - Minimum 7 years of Industry experience, last two years in a responsible position - Knowledge of French cuisine is an advantage - Experience in teaching is an advantage Salary Offered - 55k to 75k **PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE JOB** - To ensure smooth, efficient & professional operations of International Institute of Culinary Arts, New Delhi. - To be responsible for imparting Theory & practical training to students under the Two year Chef Development & Hobby Chef program etc. and to ensure their successful performance in subsequent examinations held by City & Guilds/World Association of Chefs Societies and CIA ProChef. - To support and Lead the initiatives of IICA so as to make it a premier Culinary Arts education provider in India - Support marketing and students Intake initiatives at the Institute. - Participate in the execution of assignments undertaken through DATTA HMSS **JOB RESPONSIBILITES** **IICA** - To liaise with Executive Chef for operating IICA Programs and provide necessary technical support in day-to-day working. - Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply to ensure the HACCP procedure according to the company’s Food Safety Management document is maintained. - To participate in the design of menus and purchase all food and food related products using company nominated suppliers to achieve food budgeted cost controls, ensuring minimum wastage within the venue and to ensure costing of all menus are done accurately. - To manage the process of curriculum review for the Institute, including course content, methods of delivery and assessment; the documentation of such matters (on paper and electronically, as appropriate); and the negotiation of these developments through the Institute's decision making processes. **INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CULINARY ARTS, NEW DELHI** Creating Excellence in Hospitality - To manage the process leading up to the Institute's periodic teaching quality assessments, including a self - assessment programme, making recommendations for improvement, the preparation and compilation of documentation, liaison with staff of the Institute. - To ensure the overall maintenance and upkeep of the Institute premises and Lab Kitchen. - To ensure that training is cost effective and is current in skills to meet the real needs of the industry. - To review and analyse monthly/ quarterly results of the Institute & individual students, highlight problem areas and take appropriate action to rectify poor performance. - To maintain close contact with the students and their parents/ guardian" and ensure effective communication with them at all times through a planned programme of formal meetings. - To co-ordinate the industrial training of students at reputed organizations as per the course curriculum and chart the progress of students continuously. - To participate in Education Fairs and conduct presentations where required to create awareness of the Institute leading to enhanced Student intake. - Assist the executive chef complete annual appraisals to ensure continued staff development **DATTA HMSS** - To develop Standard Operating Policies and Procedures to ensure professional management of the activities undertaken by DHMSS. - Use personal knowledge and skills in promoting the business of Datta HMSS & Associate Companies. - To share all knowledge and data available gained over years in the pursuit of the objectives of Datta HMSS. - To share all personal support documents e.g. - books, printed materials etc. in developing data bank of Datta HMSS. - Recommend and implement innovative ideas/ initiatives in the growth and development of Datta HMSS. - Ensure complete confidentiality of the information and data available at the Institute and DHMSS operations. **Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent **Salary**: ₹55,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month **Benefits**: - Health insurance - Paid sick time - Paid time off Schedule: - Day shift Supplemental Pay: - Performance bonus - Yearly bonus COVID-19 considerations: All faculty are fully vaccinated and masks are mandatory in the premises.
