SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES L2 Network Support:
The successful person for this role will be highly experienced in network infrastructure administration and support. They will have experience with:
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network infrastructure related issues for multiple customers.
- Working with vendor and ISP support to help resolve related issues on the customers behalf.
- Participate in multiple customer projects and technology transitions and the ability to identify and resolve chronic issues.
- Available to participate in a 24x7 support model.
- Ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of staff across different clients as well as internally.
- Effectively maintain and update any documentation, tools and systems for changes and updates.
- Perform periodic environment reviews and provide guidance to senior staff on any improvements that could be recommended for our clients.
- Additional duties as required.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Network Administrator should have following skill sets:
A minimum of 4 years’ experience with the following is required:
- High level of knowledge in Networking and Security technologies and protocols.
- Knowledge of various SD-WAN technologies
- Knowledge of routing and switching, including OSPF and BGP.
- Good knowledge of the following vendor’s network and security products:
- Cisco
- Aruba
- Palo Alto Networks
- Fortinet
- F5
- Experience on network monitoring solutions
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other network hardware and software including wireless controller and APs.
- Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation or any other networking related issue
- Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
Nice to have knowledge of VMware NSX and SD-WAN
- Motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment as well as individually without direct supervision
The following certifications will be an added advantage:
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications
