Summary of responsibilities
- L2 Network Security Administrator:
The successful person for this role will be highly experienced in network infrastructure administration
and support. They will have experience with:
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network infrastructure related issues for
multiple customers.
- Enforce security protocols & best practices, conduct assessments, and respond to
security incidents.
- Working with vendor and ISP support to help resolve related issues on the customers
behalf.
- Participate in multiple customer projects and technology transitions and the ability to
identify and resolve chronic issues.
- Available to participate in a 24x7 support model. Participate in the on-call rotation to
provide after-hours support for critical network issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of staff across different clients
as well as internally.
- Effectively maintain and update any documentation, tools and systems for changes
and updates.
- Perform periodic environment reviews and recommend on any improvements that
could be recommended for our clients.
- Additional duties as required.
Experience / Skill Requirements
Network Administrator should have following skill sets:
A minimum of 4 -7 years’ experience with the following is required:
- Experience in working with enterprise level networks
- Intermediate expertise in troubleshooting network issues.
- Good Knowledge & Handson of routing and switching, including OSPF and BGP. Good to have
troubleshooting experience.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing following vendors network and security products:
- Cisco
- HPE, Aruba
- Palo Alto Networks
- Fortinet
- F5
- Experience on network monitoring solutions
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other network hardware and software
including wireless controller and APs.
- Upgrade data center network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation or
any other networking related issue
- Motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment as well as individually
without direct supervision
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Good to have Knowledge / Experience on cloud-based networking & security solutions
- Good to have Familiarity with network automation tools & scripting.
The following certifications will be an added advantage:
- CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications
- Fortinet NSE4 or FCP.
- Palo Alto Networks PCNSA / PCNSE
- Any HPE Aruba certifications
- Good to have CompTIA Security+ or ISC2 CC
- Good to have Azure / AWS / GCP certifications
