Ludlow Jute Mills was founded in 1921 by the Ludlow Corp. of Ludlow, Massachusetts, United States. The sprawling Ludlow campus has been on the banks of the river Hooghly for nearly a century. With multiple manufacturing facilities, offices, living quarters, medical and educational facilities, our campus has over 100 buildings as well as roads and railway lines.

The manufacturing establishments include water reservoirs and power plants, in addition to a press house, and selection and baling plants. At the center of all this is one of India’s largest modernized jute mills, which is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and is capable of producing high volumes of the finest products.

The Sales Head for Jute Bag Sales and Export is responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for the company’s jute bag product line, focusing on both domestic and international markets. The individual will lead the sales team, build relationships with key clients, identify new business opportunities, and oversee the export operations to ensure smooth logistics and compliance with international trade regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of the jute industry, global market trends, and a proven track record in sales leadership.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for jute bags, focusing on both domestic and international markets.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities for jute bag sales and exports.
- Set sales targets and objectives in line with company goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Lead negotiations with potential buyers and close sales contracts.
- Oversee export operations, including logistics, shipping, and international trade compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, providing guidance and setting performance standards.
- Conduct market research to understand global trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
- Analyze sales data and provide reports to senior management.
- Manage sales budgets and forecasts, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor sales expenses and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.

**Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies**:

- Bachelor / Master Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Jute / Cotton Bag Sales and Export, preferably in the jute industry or related sectors.
- Age within 40 years will be preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in international markets.
- Strong knowledge of export processes, regulations, and compliance.
- Cultural awareness and understanding of International Trade Practices and Trade Shows / Fairs.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Must have experience of leading team of Merchandisers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Little Russel Street, Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
