Storage Administrator

- **B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (IT / CS). No other qualifications are acceptable.**:

- **Minimum 5 Years experience in Storage Administration**:

- **Knowledge and Experience with IBM Storage & Tape Library is desirable. If not then experience with any other storage (Dell, HP, NetApp, Hitachi etc) and should be able to learn the IBM storage technicalities quickly**:

- Implements and manages storage systems and infrastructure components for enterprise, mission critical, computing environments
- Provides support services for storage administration, performance tuning, monitoring and capacity planning.
- Builds storage infrastructure to support the business environment.
- Recommends, develops and enforces policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of data
- Install, configure and maintain storage hardware backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets
- Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and switches.
- Provide storage provisioning for NAS/CAS/SAN systems
- Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed
- Execute across-site replication of significant DR data
- Supervise volume replication jobs and execute improvements
- Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.

- Manage Expansions, Volume creation and assignment
- Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
- Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
- Monitor Backup, Analyze Error Logs, Monitor the status of Storage and Expansions
- Open Support Calls with OEM and coordinate with them for resolution of issues

**Job Type**: Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹684,333.07 - ₹900,000.00 per year
