**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive tender documents, including bills of quantities, pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns, in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost projections.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids, negotiate pricing and terms, and make recommendations for contract awards.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular cost reports to project stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the original estimates.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to verify quantities, assess progress, and identify any variations or change orders that may impact project costs.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections to support project planning and decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory requirements to inform cost estimating practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards throughout the estimating and tendering process.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 5 years of experience working as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficient in quantity take-off software, cost estimating tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in cost calculations and documentation.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local market conditions and suppliers/vendors in Coimbatore region preferred.
- Professional certification or membership in relevant industry associations (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
