- Responsibilities:

- RSM is looking for a Tax Senior Associate to join our expanding Investment Fund practice. Our Investment Fund practice serves a range of complex clients in the financial services industry including private equity funds, hedge funds and FoF's. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following job duties that are focused around two core concepts: your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent client service:

- Responsibilities:

- Preparing complex Private Equity, Hedge Fund and/or FoF partnership tax returns
- Detailed review and analysis of Tax returns
- Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation within the investment fund industry
- Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
- Experience preparing and reviewing returns
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members
- Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Other duties as assigned
- Some travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business and client need)
