Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Stargazing Events: Organize and conduct stargazing sessions, guiding participants in observing celestial objects through telescopes.
- Educational Outreach: Deliver informative and engaging presentations on various astronomical topics to audiences of all ages.
- Telescope Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate a range of telescopes and other observational equipment.
- Public Engagement: Answer questions and provide detailed explanations about celestial phenomena, constellations, and current astronomical events.
- Program Development: Assist in the creation and development of stargazing programs and educational materials.
- Community Collaboration: Work with schools, community organizations, and other partners to promote and expand stargazing initiatives.
- Data Collection: Record observational data and maintain accurate logs of stargazing activities and participant feedback.
- Safety Management:Ensure the safety and comfort of all participants during stargazing events, adhering to all relevant safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in astronomy education, public outreach, or a related role.
- Skills:

- Proficiency in operating various types of telescopes and astronomical instruments.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to convey complex astronomical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Familiarity with astronomy software and mobile apps for stargazing.

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally overnight as required by event schedules.
