**Job Summary**:
The HVAC Plant Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems within a central plant or facility. The role ensures optimal environmental conditions and energy efficiency through preventive maintenance and real-time system monitoring.

**Qualification**:

- 12th, Technical School or Trade Certification in HVAC or Mechanical Systems Preferred.
- Valid HVAC Technician License (If required by Local Jurisdiction).

**Preferred Qualification**:

- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
- Experience in large-scale central plant operations.
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC system operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of building automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane).
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call hours as needed.
- Operate and monitor HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, pumps, and control systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Adjust and calibrate equipment to maintain desired environmental conditions.
- Record data such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates for system logs and reporting.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and system alarms.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering staff to support plant operations.
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Recommend system upgrades or replacements when necessary.
- Support energy management initiatives and sustainability practices.
