**Job Summary**:
The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and storage areas. This role ensures that all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and ready for use, and assists with the proper storage of food items and supplies. The Steward plays a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by maintaining a safe, hygienic, and organized work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dishwashing and Cleaning**:

- Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment using proper cleaning methods and techniques.
- Operate dishwashing machines, and ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dishwashing area and ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Properly store cleaned items, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
- **Kitchen Cleaning**:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, floors, stoves, and refrigerators, following proper cleaning schedules.
- Assist with deep cleaning of kitchen areas, including vents, exhaust fans, and storage rooms.
- Ensure that the kitchen area remains free from debris and maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout the shift.
- **Stocking and Organization**:

- Organize and store food items, dry goods, and supplies in accordance with safety and health regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring food and cleaning products are appropriately stored and labeled.
- Keep track of kitchen inventory and report low stock or damaged items to the supervisor.
- **Waste Management**:

- Ensure that all kitchen waste, including food scraps, packaging, and trash, is properly disposed of according to the establishment’s waste disposal policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in trash areas, ensuring they are emptied regularly and sanitized.
- **Assisting Kitchen Staff**:

- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation, as needed, by cleaning and preparing ingredients (e.g., peeling vegetables).
- Help with setting up and breaking down kitchen workstations before and after meal services.
- Support food plating and service by ensuring all necessary equipment and utensils are available.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure that all areas of the kitchen and dining areas remain clean and safe.
- Ensure that all cleaning materials and chemicals are used properly and stored safely.
- Adhere to all local regulations concerning food safety and sanitation.
- **Team Support**:

- Work collaboratively with other stewards, kitchen staff, and management to ensure the smooth operation of kitchen tasks.
- Assist in other kitchen or housekeeping tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Food Safety Certification (may be required or offered upon hiring).
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or food service environment (preferred but not required).

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
