**Job responsibilities**:

- Primary Work involves designing and writing tests for Infrastructure as code for AWS, Kubernetes - such as written in terraform, helm charts, ansible and others. Tests would cover infrastructure features as well as compliance requirements
- Also provide test guidance for microservices/ API testing for functional dev teams
- Evaluate innovative ideas in the context of testing infrastructure as code which is an evolving area
- Champion the team to adopt appropriate test practices to achieve project quality and delivery goals.
- Courageously lead the adoption of these practices, collaborating with team and client staff as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to build test strategy based on environments, technology stack, deployment process and other various aspects of Infra.
- Can work independently given a test objective, perform evaluations and come up with approach

**Skills**
- QA consultant familiar with agile development, TDD, test pyramid and testing tools for API development
- Preferred experience with testing Infrastructure and/or infrastructure as code
- Preferred experience/ Knowledge in go, python etc., OR must be ready to learn
- Preferred knowledge of AWS/Kubernetes OR is keen to pick up the same
- OR an Infra consultant familiar with testing tools or ready to learn and perform test automation
- Need to work closely with Infra dev consultants from Thoughtworks and customer teams

**General**
- Continuously improve and add knowledge of testing types and testing methodologies
- Acting as a mentor for more junior-level QAs
- Promote TW sensible defaults and differentiators, evangelize system testability
- Make thought out decisions when presented with multiple choices
- In depth knowledge of estimation of QA tasks, development of test plans, processes and frameworks
- Set up defect work flows, test management infrastructure and QA metrics based on the project needs
- Engage with client operations to understand their concerns and environment.
- Proactively seek out ways to avoid common software-testing problems such as test case duplication, flaky tests and maintainability
- Pair with Infra consultants to read and assess code and provide feedback about tests
- Seamlessly partner with clients, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to create and prioritize test plans while establishing yourself as a trusted voice with testing methods, strategies, and tools
- Strive for quality to be built and aspire to shift quality to the left
- Cultivate high-functioning teams and enable transitions where necessary
- Jointly Work with Others to co-create and achieve common goals.
