Our client is in civil infrastructure development and state highway projects both the government as well as private sectors. They are headquartered in Pune and have majorly done projects in construction of dams, roads, bridges, canals, tunnels, etc. We are currently looking for a Roads & Highway Safety Officer who has graduate with Safety Certified college Degree/Diploma. The person will be overall responsible for the safety of people working on the site. **Key Responsibilities** - Ensure required PPEs are worn and used by all site personnel in all work zones. Monitor the same and take requisite disciplinary action (with consultation with the HR) to avoid non-compliance. - Monitor safety performance on site, preparing Reports of the same, keeping records and keeping the HO Authorities updated. - Conduct daily toolbox talk/meeting before starting work, keep attendance of participants for records. - Investigate incidents (accidents, near misses, emergencies) and submit full report to Company Safety Manager/ HR and other concerned Authorities. - Provide safety talks and trainings, and demonstrations to site supervisors, foremen and workers and staff. - Inspect company’s equipment in coordination with supervisors/foremen on site to ensure safe working condition, compliances and validity. - Inspect company fire-fighting equipment (fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, etc.) on a regular basis. Maintain record of servicing, next inspection date. - Ensure that sufficient barricades and safety signs are provided in areas where lifting or any construction operations is being conducted at the Camp, working site. - Maintain all safety records. - Carry out emergency preparedness mock-drills (fire, medical) on site. Be familiar with significant aspects, hazards, risks and safety/ environmental management programs. - Attend regular site, technical and progress meetings. - Facilitate site health and safety meetings. - Identification of the hazards and risks relevant to the construction project through regular coordinated site inspections. - Compiling project specific emergency response and preparedness plans. - Testing the effectiveness of the emergency response plans. - Conduct site safety inductions programme. - Oversee the reporting and investigation of project related incidents. - Oversee the maintenance of all safety & health related records. - Raise PR in time to maintain stock of PPEs in the Store. - Maintain a required medical kit to address emergencies. - Display Emergency numbers in multiple locations for Ambulance, Fire Brigade, location of medical Kit, Local Doctor/ Dispensary etc. - Arrange activities for Safety Day. - Prepare and display posters promoting Safety initiative. - Plan and execute visits to various sites, follow up on pending activities at sites and getting them done within schedule. **Requirements**: - Minimum 5-7 years’ work experience in similar role with (Roads and Infrastructure Company preferred). - Graduate with a Safety Certified college degree/Diploma. - Knowledgeable about fire-fighting equipment’s. - Ready to travel on need basis - Fluency in Marathi, Hindi and English - written and verbal communication. - Comfort with working with Computers, making reports **Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent **Salary**: ₹25,901.13 - ₹45,593.77 per month **Benefits**: - Provident Fund Schedule: - Day shift Supplemental pay types: - Yearly bonus Work Location: In person **Speak with the employer** +91 8956629318
