**Summary of the Role**:
Operate & maintain all the Instrument installations, automation system to support manufacturing activities and site operation during shifts while ensuring the safety as well integrity.

**Responsibilities / Accountabilities**:

- Maintain Daily Critical control system checklist as per schedule and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and isolate instrument problems and make repairs to bring instruments back to full functionality.
- Troubleshoot DCS logic and system-related issues and support manufacturing to continue plant operation.
- Troubleshoot & maintain all PLC & SCADA-based control and automation systems.
- Identifying malfunctioning instruments from system and decommissioning it.
- Re-assembles instruments and replaces instruments in system, using hand tools.
- Replaces defective wiring and Pneumatic tubing with a report and documentation.
- Installed, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot all instrumentation equipment and control systems. Follow the Department’s Standard Operating Procedure for instrument calibration and maintenance.
- Maintain Calibration Lab and Master Calibrator with Test Certificate
- Carry out preventive/predictive maintenance of instrument & automation system as per Schedule and maintain documentation.
- Maintain Audit Documentation and testing reports as per ISO 9001:2015, FM Global, and system.
- Maintain Walky Talky, Fire Detection, and public announcing system.
- Maintain Housekeeping for all Instrument, identified panel area and Calibration Lab.
- Record and maintain Store inventory with required Spare and Consumable items.
- Follow the permit system as per plant requirements.
- Identify new ways to improve instrument & system performance and implement them as part of a continual improvement/Operation excellence plant

**Education / Certification**:
Diploma Instrumentation with 8-10 years of experience in Chemical and Specialty chemical plants

**Experience and Skills**:

- Knowledge and working experience of DCS, PLC +SCADA (Allen Bradly, Siemens, Schneider etc.) installations & maintenance. Knowledge and hands on working experience on Siemens DCS/logic system is added advantage.
- Hands on experience for maintenance of all types of instruments Like flowmeters, Radar instrument, On/Off valve, Control valve, Pneumatic system, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers & transmitters.
- Knowledge and working experience of Basic network protocol, Walky Talky, PA system and Fire Detection system.
- Knowledge and working experience of Mater calibrator and Automation systems.
- _Computer skills: MS Office & SAP_
