Our associates enjoy a collaborative work environment, exceptional training and career development — as well as unlimited growth potential. If you like working with a generous, supportive, high-performing team, Gartner is where you want to be.

**About this role**:
This is a role that requires excellent communication skills, since the architect will have to interact with business stakeholders, technical leads, software engineers and senior management. Most of the relationships will be internal, but some will be external when working with software vendors or contract agencies / consultants.

- Foster collaboration between various teams within the organization to ensure alignment and consistency in technology implementations.
- Contribute to the evolution of technical skills across the organization, aligning them with our long-term IT vision (including microservices, containers, serverless computing, machine learning, etc.).
- Work closely with senior enterprise architects to develop a solid foundation in enterprise architecture principles and practices.

**What you’ll need**:
**Must have**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computer science or IT-related field preferred
- 8 - 9 years of professional experience in a technical role, and 3-4 years of experience in an architecture role such as software architecture, DevOps architecture, or technical architecture in any industry. This should include at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud services, containers, and serverless technologies. Deep knowledge in these areas would be a plus.
- Exposure to designing complex, scalable, and future-proof software systems. Experience in this area would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including scrum and agile methodologies. Practical experience in these areas would be beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and self-starting attitude.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Python, node.js, Java, or.NET.
- Familiarity with various integration patterns (APIs, queues, streaming, etc) and an understanding of when to use them.
- Aware of specific enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF or Zachman), project management skills, or experience with specific enterprise software systems.
