**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Configure and manage VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Servers running in Wiser’s datacenters.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Linux and Windows servers.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
- Ensure system security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Configure, manage and monitor SQL and NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL, Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Document and maintain system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure that meets business requirements.
- Participate in on-call support rotation.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in system administration with a focus on VMware, Linux, Windows, and preferably AWS
- Maintain and administer networks, servers, storage, hardware, software, etc.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and debugging.
- A strong understanding of Security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively and communicate with cross-functional global teams.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Excellent organizational/time management skills.

**Bonus points**:

- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- AWS and/or VMware certifications are a plus.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience with tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS
