**Job Title**: Apache Druid Support Engineer
**Location**: Remote - Occasiional Mumbai Visit

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide **day-to-day operational support** for Apache Druid clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system health, ingestion jobs, and query performance using built-in and third-party tools.
- Troubleshoot issues related to **data ingestion, segment management, and query latency**.
- Implement and manage **Druid cluster scaling, tuning, and configuration** for performance and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with data engineering and analytics teams to support **data modeling and ingestion pipeline** requirements.
- Maintain and enhance Druid infrastructure on **on-premise or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)**.
- Create and maintain **operational documentation, dashboards, and runbooks**.
- Participate in **on-call rotations** and handle incident response for Druid-related issues.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **3+ years** of experience in **data infrastructure support or administration**, with at least **1-2 years of hands-on experience with Apache Druid**.
- Strong understanding of **Druid architecture** — ingestion, indexing, segments, brokers, coordinators, and historical nodes.
- Proficiency with **SQL** and data query optimization.
- Familiarity with **data ingestion tools** such as **Kafka, Spark, or Flink**.
- Experience with **Linux environments**, shell scripting, and **system monitoring tools** (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of **Docker/Kubernetes** for containerized deployments.
- Understanding of **networking, storage, and distributed system fundamentals**.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience integrating Druid with **Superset**, **Tableau**, or other BI tools.
- Familiarity with **cloud-managed Druid services** (e.g., Imply Cloud, AWS MSK + Druid setup).
- Knowledge of **Elasticsearch**, **ClickHouse**, or other analytical databases.
- Exposure to **DevOps** and **CI/CD** tools.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science**, **Information Technology**, or equivalent work experience.
