We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Leather Goods Master to take full ownership of sampling for a premium leather accessories brand. This role is hands-on, creative, and demands exceptional craftsmanship. You will work independently to develop world-class prototypes—wallets, belts, small goods—crafted with precision, elegance, and long-term durability.

As the brand grows, you will also have the opportunity to lead and train a dedicated production team, shaping the quality and standards of the full manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sampling & Craftsmanship
- Handcraft high-end leather samples from start to finish—cutting, skiving, stitching, edge-finishing, and final assembly
- Maintain exceptional finishing standards with close attention to alignment, edge burnish, stitch uniformity, and internal structure
- Interpret ideas and convert them into functional, beautifully constructed samples with little to no supervision

2. Autonomy & Material Respect
- Work independently with full control over the tools, processes, and sequencing
- Evaluate different leathers and materials for their suitability in each product, ensuring performance and aesthetics
- Take initiative in refining designs and improving construction techniques where needed

3. Documentation & Process Discipline
- Maintain clean documentation of sample construction, patterns, and leather usage
- Ensure accurate tracking of time, materials, and iterations for costing and production planning

4. Growth & Leadership Readiness
- In future, build and manage a team of leather artisans for small-scale or full production
- Establish internal standards and train others to match the brand’s quality benchmarks

What We’re Looking For:

- 8+ years of leatherworking experience with deep command over small leather goods
- Proven ability to work alone and still maintain highest quality standards
- Hands-on mastery of cutting, skiving, saddle stitching, machine sewing, edge finishing, and detailing
- Deep respect for leather as a natural material—waste minimization, smart selection, and careful handling
- Ability to read designs or references and replicate with near-perfect execution
- Strong time discipline and documentation habits

Bonus if You Have:

- Past experience with luxury or artisan-level brands
- Ability to make basic patterns or develop your own templates
- Openness to explore modern tools and processes while staying rooted in craft
