**Job Summary**:
The Safety Officer will ensure a safe and healthy work environment on the construction site by implementing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves identifying and mitigating potential hazards, conducting training and inspections, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Pre-Construction Phase**:
1. Review project plans and specifications to identify potential safety hazards.

2. Develop site-specific safety plans and procedures.

3. Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.

**Construction Phase**:
1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.

2. Monitor and enforce safety procedures, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.

3. Investigate incidents, injuries, and near-miss events.

4. Provide safety training to employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, local building codes).

**Safety Inspections**:
1. Conduct daily/weekly site inspections to identify hazards.

2. Inspect equipment, tools, and materials.

3. Monitor housekeeping and waste management.

**Training and Awareness**:
1. Provide safety orientation to new employees and subcontractors.

2. Conduct regular safety training sessions.

3. Promote safety awareness through campaigns and workshops.

**Incident Management**:
1. Respond to and investigate incidents, injuries, and illnesses.

2. Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.

3. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

**Compliance and Record-Keeping**:
1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements.

2. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents and hazards.

3. Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.

**Collaboration and Communication**:
1. Work closely with site management, supervisors, and employees.

2. Communicate safety information, policies, and procedures.

3. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

2. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH).

3. 2+ years of experience in construction safety.

4. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry standards.

5. Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
