As a Library Assistant at Aryan Institute Of Engineering & Technology, you will play a vital role in supporting library operations and providing excellent service to students, faculty, and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Circulation Services**:

- Assist library users with checking in and checking out books, journals, and other materials.
- **Shelving and Organization**:

- Shelf books, periodicals, and multimedia resources according to the library's classification system.
- Ensure shelves are neat and organized, and materials are easily accessible to users.
- **Assistance with Research**:

- Assist students and faculty in locating and accessing information resources, both print and electronic.
- Provide basic guidance on library databases, catalog searches, and citation styles.
- **Library Maintenance**:

- Perform routine tasks such as shelf reading, inventory checks, and weeding outdated materials.
- Keep library spaces clean, tidy, and conducive to study and research.
- **Technology Support**:

- Assist users with library computers, printers, scanners, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Assist in cataloging new library acquisitions and updating catalog records.
- Help with interlibrary loan requests, reserves, and other administrative tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or coursework in library science is a plus.
- Previous experience in a library or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with library systems, cataloging principles, and information retrieval tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and library management software.
