**Job Title: DB2 LUW Database Administrator**
**Introduction**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Management**:

- Manage DB2 LUW servers and databases through all product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure, maintain, and automate database servers and processes, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- **Performance & Tuning**:

- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
- Assist developers with complex SQL query tuning using various monitoring tools.
- Perform performance tuning using utilities such as REORGCHK, REORG, and RUNSTATS.
- Optimize buffer pool tuning, database manager, and database configuration parameters for optimal functionality.
- **Maintenance & Support**:

- Start and stop DB2 databases as needed.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities outside of regular hours.
- Provide production support for processes written in DB2 SQL.
- Handle database recovery, including full recovery, roll-forward recovery, and point-in-time recovery.
- **Utilities & Tools**:

- Utilize export/import and load utilities to manage data.
- Implement logging strategies for hot and cold backups.
- Use troubleshooting tools such as db2diag, db2trace, db2dart, db2support, and db2pd.
- Monitor system health and performance using snapshot monitors and event monitors.
- **Documentation & Automation**:

- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Share technical expertise, provide mentorship, and conduct cross-training for team members.
- **Additional Skills**:

- Experience with installing fix packs and migrating databases.
- Knowledge of database cloning across platforms using redirected restore, db2look, and db2move.
- Strong understanding of data encryption, clustering, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) options for DB2 LUW.
- Proficiency in Linux and DB2 user access security, including groups and roles.
- Experience with data virtualization tools, specifically Denodo, and database design.

Pay: ₹327,767.00 - ₹1,520,325.00 per year
