  • 4+ years experience as DB2 Database Administrator  having strong background in managing, maintaining, and optimizing DB2 databases on LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) and/or z/OS platforms.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, and security while supporting development and production environments.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 database software and related products.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations using native DB2 tools and third-party solutions.
  • Manage database security, including user access and roles.
  • Design and implement database maintenance plans and automation scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database design.
  • Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives as required.

Primary skills 

- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DB2 DBA.
- Strong knowledge of DB2 LUW and/or DB2 z/OS environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, and high availability solutions.

Secondary skills 

- Familiarity with tools like IBM Data Studio, Toad, or similar.
- Understanding of database security and compliance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
