The main operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of Bobst and FFG printing machines. This role ensures the machines run efficiently to produce high-quality printed materials and packaging products while adhering to production schedules and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup and Operation**:

- Set up Bobst and FFG machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
- Operate machines to produce printed materials and packaging products.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and conformity to specifications.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect products during and after printing to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Record and report any quality issues to the production supervisor.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and printing issues.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for major repairs.
- **Production Efficiency**:

- Monitor machine performance and production processes.
- Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize waste.
- Keep accurate records of production runs, including downtime and maintenance activities.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel.
- Provide training and guidance to junior operators and helpers.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing technology is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating Bobst and/or FFG machines or similar printing equipment.
- **Skills**:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software used in printing operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection is required.
