**Job Title - GFCT Business Control Unit**

**Role Description**

The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist is responsible for delivering specific aspects of the risk and control strategy for a sub-division. This includes monitoring risk and control activities, risk based control reporting of key issues, performance and validation of cyclical activities such as annual control self assessments. It would also include, control testing, incident research, remediation monitoring and other ad hoc control initiatives and projects. The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist will liaise with other risk and control functions, on a management level to assure the integration of risk initiatives and projects.

**Your key responsibilities**:
The role is an extension of the onshore Global GFCT Business Management & Control team. The Control function is an important role in monitoring, managing and mitigating FIC Non-Financial Risk.
- Volcker - Run BCF meetings, preparation of pack, RENT D calibration & update in Volcker systems, monitoring IHL, updating Volcker reference guide, Annual CEO sub attestation preparation
- Trader Mandates
- Assist with maintaining trader mandates for businesses within FIC, review trader mandate breaches and exception reports.
- Manage all aspects of Front Office Operational risk including operational and financial integrity issues, Self-Identified Issues, Audit Findings, Compliance testing findings, etc.
- Liaision with Desk heads and DCO on various level 1 controls
- Provide analytical support to the BCU team and senior management decision making.

**Your skills and experience**
- MBA in Finance from a premier institution with relevant experience
- 8-10 years work experience in banking domain working on regulatory projects/ operational risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in conducting and driving meetings with senior stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in dealing with high volume of data, management of databases and Excel. Advanced exposure to Word and Powerpoint is must
- Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate clearly and present information in a compelling manner
- Confident to question the status quo business practice / existing control framework
- Knowledge of Trade Lifecycle of FIC Products (front to back) would be an added advantage
