**Role: Database Administrator - PostgreSQL**

This role will work closely with the DBAs, development, architecture and infrastructure teams to design and administer databases to provide and enforce contractual SLAs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

It's full time opening for banking system maintenance and creating reports from databases and all.
- Administer and perform database related activities, including reports, upgrades, maintenance, backup, recovery and configuration management. Involved in setting up DB instances and part of day to day production issues resolution.
- Should be able to create different types of reports from data.
- Hands on in performing backup and restore of Mongodb database instances improving recovery times.
- Be able to trace the stress areas back to the queries causing them, proactively profile such queries and suggest improvement.
- Drive end-to-end availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for PostgreSQL, using different tools.
- Experience in backup and recovery procedures including familiarity with PBBACKUP, pgdump and BARMAN.
- Experience in point in time recovery.
- Exposure to Master and slave replication setup.
- Experience in setup hot standby.
- Exposure to Managing PostgreSQL via DOCKER.
- Health checkup of PostgreSQL database.
- Exposure in Performance Tuning.
- Experienced in integrating with AD for user management
- Writing Cron Jobs/Shell scripting for DBA Administrator tasks
- Troubleshooting database issues.
- Proactively monitor and setup alerting mechanism for both database and supporting hardware to ensure system health and maximum availability.
- Identify and resolve incidents and address user problems/concerns.
- Ability to generate reports of all processes and jobs currently running on PostgreSQL with details like users, start and end time, CPU Usage and time, Memory usage, IO Time, locking etc.

**Requirements**:

- Through knowledge on indexes, create and rebuild.
- Excellent shell and sql skill for DBA tasks automation.
- Experienced with linux system monitoring and analysis.
- Banking or Financing project experience.
- Customer Facing Experience

**Technical Experience **: PostgreSQL/RHEL/Network

**Salary**: ₹31,881.00 - ₹37,469.00 per month
