Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (SQL DB Administrator)

  • Installation, upgradation, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of SQL Server Instances
  • Monitoring of DB backups, database health and fix day to day DB related issues
  • Database access management
  • Designing of database backup and recovery strategy and create maintenance plans.
  • Troubleshoot database performance issues such as Memory bottlenecks, CPU bottlenecks, I/O bottlenecks.
  • Setup High-Availability and Disaster Recovery using AlwaysOn.
  • Database upgradation from older SQL versions to latest ones (SQL 2000 onwards)
  • Database migration from on-prem to Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Implement Organizational Data Security and Compliance policies.
  • Usage of IT Service Management tool such as ServiceNow/BMC Remedy

TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES

  • Microsoft SQL Server (Mandatory)
  • SQL/TSQL (Mandatory)
  • MS Azure/Google Cloud/AWS (Mandatory, Any of them)
  • SSIS / SSRS/ SSAS
  • PostGres
  • Candidates having knowledge of

DESIRED QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • DB Administration Certifications on MS Azure (DP-300) or AWS or GCP will be preferred
  • Candidates with knowledge of PostgreSQL database is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Azure/AWS/GCP fundamentals is desired
  • Good communication skills
