**I. Planning, Execution and Maintenance**:
- Assisting in the food preparation process
- Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
- Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
- Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Demi Chef de Partie
- Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
- Helping with deliveries and restocking
- Assisting with stock rotation and cleaning the respective stations
- Taking inventory of school supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies
- Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
- Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
- Plating and presenting meal items as per the Demi Chef de Partie’s instructions
- Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
- Ensure the kitchen is clean all the time and ready for the next ready
- To immediately report all accidents, near misses, damage or breakages to the Demi Chef de partie
- To ensure that the kitchen is opened and closed at the required times and secured when not in use
**II. Professional Development**:
- Support in training junior commis and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
- Contributing to the professional development of self and other team members in the department
**III. Documentation**:
- Maintain record to check the freshness of food and supplies
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles and food allergy program
**IV. Behaviour and Safety**:
- Establishing a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for students and other colleagues
- Maintaining good relationships with staff and students
- Being a positive role model and demonstrating consistently the required traits and attitudes
- Being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school, raising any concerns following school protocol/procedures
**V. Teamwork and Collaboration**:
- Participate in department or other meetings and provide constructive inputs for improvement from time to time
- Working as a team member and identifying opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them
- Ensuring that colleagues working with you are appropriately involved in supporting learning and understand the roles they are expected to fulfill

- Experience of handling kitchen equipment
Hotel managment degree / diploma / certificate course.
