**Role Overview**:Aikarthya is committed to enhancing education through transparent evaluation. The Associate Auditor will play a crucial role in the LitNum School Audit project by conducting external audits for schools. This role involves assessing teacher and student performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring accountability, transparency, and fostering continuous growth in the education sector.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct external audits for schools participating in the LitNum School Audit project.
- Administer standardized tests in Literacy (English) and Numeracy for students in grades 1st to 10th.
- Facilitate one-on-one conversations with select students from specific grades.
- Manage the distribution and collection of anonymous student and teacher survey forms.
- Engage in conversations with teachers to provide feedback and insights.
- Collect and analyze data from observations, surveys, and student achievement.
- Collaborate with the Lit-Num team to analyze and report test results and findings.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with recommendations for school improvement.
- Ensure adherence to assessment procedures and standards set by Lit-Num.
**Goals and Objectives**:
- Identify areas of strength and weakness in teacher performance and student learning.
- Enhance instruction strategies to improve student achievement.
- Foster accountability and transparency through independent evaluations.
- Benchmark teacher and student performance against national and state standards.
**Assessment Framework**:
- Administer standardized tests during regular class periods.
- Conduct one-on-one conversations with selected students.
- Distribute and collect student and teacher survey forms via WhatsApp.
- Observe classroom sessions for teachers and engage in feedback conversations.
- Analyze a combination of observations, surveys, and student achievement data.
- Collaborate with the Lit-Num team to ensure assessment integrity.
**Data Analysis and Reporting**:
- Analyze test results using metrics such as mean scores, percentiles, and proficiency rates.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing observations, survey results, and achievements.
**Evaluation and Continuous Improvement**:
- Collaborate with school administration and the school board to improve instruction and student achievement based on audit findings.
- Utilize ongoing data analysis and stakeholder feedback to evaluate the project's effectiveness.
- Prepare final reports for school district administration and the school board.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Audit, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in educational assessments or audits is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and report-writing abilities.
- Proficient in using technology for data collection and analysis.
