Position Title: Designer - Trainee- Department: - PD- Work Location: - Delhi- Grade: - Designer - Trainee- Travel Required: - 10%- Reporting to: - Administrative: - Manager - Design- Reported by: - None- Functional: - Manager - Design- Minimum Job Requirements- Educational Qualification: - B.Des From NIFT and/or Master in Footwear Designing- Experience: - 0 to 1 year of experience in designing Slipper and Shoes.- Any additional requirement: - MS-OFFICE(Word, Excel)- Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)- Fresher Footwear Designers need: - A creative eye and a flair for color, texture and patterns. - Knowledge of foot anatomy. - Good Drawing Ability in CAD / Shoe Master or equivalent software. - Excellent communication skills in both English and Hindi. - Excellent organizational skills - Key Roles and Responsibilities- Financial- To be responsible for costing, norms and swatch book preparation. - Customer Oriented- To undertake market survey to understand market need and get feedback of launched product. - People Oriented- To be responsible for helping production process control. - To coordinate with quality control and lab team to achieve the desire look and standard of the product. - Internal Business Process- To look after Design creation and Pattern Cutting. - To do production tooling related to designing. - To maintain design process/ documents related to product development. - Competencies- Technical/Functional- Behavioral- New product development. - Shoe designing - Knowledge of the footwear market and its future trends - An understanding of the different têxtile components, dyes and production processes - The ability to manage a footwear costing - Analytical Blend of Mind - Meticulous and Creative - An interest in fashion, design and têxtiles. - The ability to critique their work and accept comments from Senior Designers, buyers and sales team mates. - The ability to take precise measurements. - Key Result Areas- Quantitative- Qualitative- % of project done with right norms and specification - % Deviation from NC target - % Deviation from price point - "% Margin increase through value addition in existing product lines - "% Reduction in product cost without changing quality and design norms - % of project done with right quality and specification - Amount of delay in handling BOM upload timeline - Adherence to production plan - Adherence to timeline - One market visit per month - Key Stakeholder Management- Internal- External- Manager - Design - DGM - Design - AGM - PD - Production Team - Consultants
