JOB DESCRIPTION :GM Accounts And Finance

The primary responsibility of the GMAccounts and Finance is to prepare and implement financial strategy, policies and procedures and financial controls framework in order to ensure the achievement of institution wise financial objectives, controls and financial stability. The person will ensure internal controls are effectively in place and functional. He will also ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulation.

The incumbent will be leading Finance functions including Accounting and General Ledger, Financial/Management/Regulatory reporting, Forecast and Budgeting, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Annual/periodic audits facilitations, Taxation, Finance systems.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Providing strategic direction to the institution through strategy formulation, decision making, forecast/budgeting and its implementation/monitoring.
- Establishing and implementing internal controls and ensuring efficient and effective financial operations as per industry benchmarks.
- Ensure that Financial and Accounting policies and procedures are in accordance with statutory regulations and global standards and complying with risk management and internal controls.
- Take charge of Finance, Accounts and Taxation matters. Ensure that all accounting records are properly and timely maintained, reporting cycles and other associated engagements are successfully performed in an effective and timely manner in accordance with the regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Meticulously handling the bankers for arranging the short and long-term funding requirements for Capital Investment, Working Capital and non-fund base requirements.
- Finalize annual financial statements/ periodic financial statements (where required), get them audited from External Auditors and place them before Board of Government for consideration and approval.
- Prepare financial projections and budgets in line with business plan and get these approved from senior management.
- Ensure implementation of proper accounting system for bookkeeping, operational support/MIS as per best industry practices.
- Ensuring maintaining effective relationship and co-ordination with key stakeholders including related entities, government bodies, etc.
- Supervising GST; Direct Taxation related with Corporate and Personal Taxation, TDS, ROC from filing of returns to assessment with Govt. authority.
- Preparing financial reports to determine the financial visibility, projecting cash flow and growth opportunities while preparing projected profit and loss and balance sheet; playing pivotal role in final accounts preparations.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory authorities and audit requirements; maintaining integrity of accounting system and processes and ensuring it remains effective and operational at all times
- Ensuring reimbursement strategies, reports and appeals.
- Ensuring financial policies, procedures and systems.
- Ensure independence of Board from the financial operating matters.
- Analyze and manage the organization s liabilities and investments
- Monitor the overall funding status, disbursements, repayment and related reporting.
- Co-ordinate with stakeholders for arrangement and management of funds.
- Assist in training and resource development initiatives focusing on knowledge, skills and attitudes for building capacities to deliver on present positions and build long term capability to shoulder additional responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with covenants incorporated in financing documents with banks / Govt.
- Perform any other task assigned CMD

**Required skills**
- Eight or more years of experience in a senior financial managerial position.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner.
