Key Responsibilities:
- Managing, training, developing and motivating a solid, business oriented, dedicated regional financial controllership team of approx. 7 to 10 professionals
- Stewardship and review of financial documents for group and local compliance
- Performance and evidence of SOX Controls
- Ensure appropriateness of controls for internal and external compliance
- Regular balance sheet and cost reviews
- Supervise the month end process for the region supported and ensuring processes and reconciliation obligations are met
- Leading primary relationship with Regional Tax department, Finance, Internal Audit, Treasury, General Accounting, Group & Statutory Auditors, and outsource partners

- Career Options would be both Vertical and Horizontal
- The Job Holder could either move horizontally by taking on more sub regions or move Vertical to become a Regional Controller

Additional Job Description
Qualified Accountant from a recognised professional institute (CIMA/ACCA/CA) or with a Degree in Accounting/ Finance from a recognized university with 7-9 years of experience.
Experience of using Oracle, HFM, Blackline accounting systems
Strong background in:
Preparation of Statutory accounts across multiple entities Financial accounting in a large organisation
Strong IFRS knowledge Strong understanding of accounting concepts
Experience in working with senior stakeholders and reporting to tight deadlines
Experience of managing cross geography relationships Have strong excel skills and be confident managing sophisticated spreadsheets to ensure accurate reporting.
Be a lead proponent of driving a great culture and approach to working across finance
Ability to scope and shape role while adapting to fast changing environment
Strong process orientation, with ability to design and operate robust reporting frameworks
Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues
Enhance opportunities, i.e., challenges ways of working, adopts Group practices, seeks, and provides information and clarification.
Effective oral and written communication that resonates with the target audience.
Uses all available resources and toolsets to investigate and resolve problems and ensures the most appropriate solution is identified.
Strong planning and prioritising skills according to business needs.
Manages reporting and financial control activities for a Sub-division, sub regional or grouping of entities.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
Runs a team of contributors and provides expertise.
Handles FinCon relationships with internal and external collaborators with the aim of ensuring that the outcomes of collaborative endeavors are delivered in compliance with accounting standards and financial controls.
Directs technical accounting research to accurately account for, and to report significant and sophisticated transactions.
Reviews the adaptability of sub-divisional or regional reporting processes and financial controls and / or for business functions.
Handles the accounting resolution of open items and accounting issues.
Reviews and ensure all reports and disclosures align with legislation, standards which are professional and accounting controls. Coordinates preparing and review of financial documents (internal/external) of business/geography/function/division in a timely and accurate manner, and support analyses of material variances and may support with Group consolidation / balance sheets
Handles audits and drive it closure on timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualification Degree or equivalent experience and globally recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Moderate experience in reporting and financial control.
