**Your Role and Responsibilities**

6-8 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in a 24x7 production environment including backup recovery,replication,high availability,designing and managing schema,monitoring diagnosing and optimizing database performance.

Strong experience implementing deploying database servers.
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery and replication solutions and best practices
- Expertise in writing SQL queries, analyzing query performance using query plans and tuning query performance
- Advanced knowledge of Database Administration on the MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL platforms operating within on premise & Public cloud installations.
- Advanced knowledge of Database operational monitoring & alerting for MS SQL Server & PostgreSQL.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Advance knowledge of Backups, restores and recovery models.
- Advance knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
- Hands-on experience with Database schema creation and performance tuning and ongoing support
- Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to rapid project changes.
- Monitoring databases to optimize database performance and diagnosing any issue
- Performing vacuum and analyse on the high-volume tables and databases which will remove the bloats and will update the statistics of the database

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Solid knowledge of physical and logical database design
- Experience establishing DBA standards and best practices for MySQL

**Required Education**

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree
