**Job Summary**:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the organization in maintaining compliance with financial regulations. The role involves handling general accounting, maintaining ledgers, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **General Accounting**:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and reconciliation of bank statements.
- Process accounts payable (bills, invoices) and accounts receivable (client payments, invoices).
- Ensure timely payment of vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- **Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- **Tax Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including filing GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actuals and budgeted expenses/revenue.
- **Internal Controls**:
- Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and records.
- **Team Support**:
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
- Support other departments with financial data and analysis as needed.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Educational Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) is an advantage.
- **Experience**:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in [industry-specific knowledge, if applicable].
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- **Soft Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
**Work Conditions**:
- Full-time position with standard office hours.
- Occasionally may require extended hours during reporting deadlines or audits.
