Compliance Officer

**Job Summary**
The Compliance Officer(Construction) at Padam Interiors is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. They will be tasked with enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. This role is crucial for maintaining the company's integrity and reputation by ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations applicable to the interior design and construction industry.
- **Policy Development**: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and support the company's objectives.
- **Audits and Investigations**: Conduct regular internal audits and investigations to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Report findings and recommend corrective actions.
- **Training**: Develop and deliver training programs for employees to ensure understanding of compliance requirements and ethical practices.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
- **Liaison with Regulatory Bodies**: Act as the primary contact with regulatory bodies and manage communication and reporting as required.
- **Documentation**: Maintain up-to-date documentation of all compliance-related activities, including policies, procedures, and audit results.
- **Incident Reporting**: Manage the compliance reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of any compliance-related incidents or violations.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Stay informed of changes in regulations and best practices in compliance, and update policies and procedures accordingly.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A certification in compliance or a related area is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the interior design, construction, or real estate industry.
- **Skills**:
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and reporting tools.
