**Job Title - QA & Testing Engineer**

**Location - Pune**

**Role Description**

The QA & Testing Engineer identifies the tasks and resources needed to ensure that their specialised portion of the testing process meets software quality requirements prior to release into a live environment. The QA & Testing Engineer may specialise in a specific area of the testing process such as test automation, performance testing, testing process, test environments, test data provisioning. In this context the QA & Testing Engineer will specialise in relevant tools such as Performance Centre, Quick Test Professional, Quality Centre/ALM and Jira. Alternately the QA and Testing Engineer may possess or demonstrate specialist Business Testing knowledge or exceptional business/functional expertise.

**Your key responsibilities**
- We are looking for a highly skilled test automation engineer to design automation tests. Test automation engineers' duties include designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems. You should also be committed to developing skills to provide up-to-date solutions. Proficiency in programming language Java, Selenium with API testing.
- Creating an automation test plan and getting approval
- Identifying and selecting the automation test cases
- Designing and developing test automation scripts.
- Configuring Selenium Test Environment (STE) to set it up
- Selenium Environment Setup with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
- Should be able to design the automation framework
- Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases
- Collating and monitoring the defect management process
- Managing the changes and executing regression tests
- Coming up with exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling
- Interacting with customers/clients to solve the various issues they face and updating on the situation
- Experience in Agile practices (SCRUM).
- Close Coordination & Collaboration with Internal Stakeholder/ External Stakeholders and Vendors
- Strong Logical Aptitude to understand the overall Application and root out the gaps wherein required
- Good Questioning skills to understand the Root Cause of the request

**Your skills and experience**

Experience/Exposure:

- Overall IT experience of 7+ years
- 4+ years’ experience in UI Automation Testing, API testing with Java
- Sound knowledge of below technical stack (must or equivalent):

- Java(must), Selenium, Gradle/Maven, API testing (Rest Assured/JMeter/Postman)
- CI/CD using Jenkins or Teamcity
- Hands-on experience working on ALM, Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket
- Good experience in designing and implementation of testing frameworks(automation)
- Building the capability of test results insights, reporting
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
- Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
- Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
- Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills are required.

Education | Certification (Recommended):

- Any Graduate, Postgraduate from an accredited college or university
- Software Technology tools (Java, Selenium, API testing, CI/CD Teamcity/Jenkins, Test Management - ALM, Defect Management
- JIRA, Confluence)
- Systems Development Lifecycle

Skills Required:

- Ability to express technical concepts in language accessible to a non-technical audience.
- Experienced in Automation Testing using Selenium, Java and API testing
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Teamcity
- Self-motivated, thrives in the ambiguity that comes with a lean and agile team.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Able to work and co-ordinate with product vendors
