**Job Title: Systems Administrator**

**Working Days: 5**

**Mode of Work: WFO**

**Summary**:The System Administrator reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Manager will be part of a talented team of engineers and will be expected to demonstrate superb technical competency in delivering critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. They will provide support services with technical problems involving desktop, laptop, or network services from local and remote personnel.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provision of technology equipment for employees.
- Handle technology issues and proactively follow up on tickets with the ability to troubleshoot problems, determine sources, and perform appropriate actions.
- Handle service requests with a sense of urgency and high level of customer service; responsible for keeping helpdesk queue to a minimum
- Responsible for administration and support of infrastructure services which include Windows and Linux Servers, virtual desktops, networking, firewalls, file servers, web servers, reverse proxies, load balancers, VPN tunnels, backup and recovery, database operations, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning of the infrastructure services including cloud services.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers on vulnerability remediation to fully ensure the security of the organization’s infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure diagrams and policies.
- Perform helpdesk support functions as part of a team.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in reliability, cost savings, etc.
- Participate in 24/7 On-Call rotation, if needed, to resolve critical issues.
- May be required to work occasional nights and/or weekends.

**Education/Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
- Knowledgeable in network terminology/infrastructure (i.e., switches, gateways, firewalls, TCP/IP, VLAN, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft server operating systems & Active Directory.
- Experience developing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux operating systems
- Experience with cloud computing and storage (AWS and Azure) and virtualization (VMWare)
- Experience with Microsoft collaboration suite (Office 365 Mail, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Debug technical issues inside a complex stack involving virtualization, containers and microservices
- Supported Major backup vendor, MS Windows server, Linux Servers, folder & file share, authentication, backups, antivirus, ITIL and change management, technical and process flow documentation, Virtualization, Cloud computing, creating VPN tunnels, firewall rules.
- Strong troubleshooting, project execution, and communication skills.
