About the role: - Responsible for all bases of Accounting - USGAAP/IFRS/US Statutory and Economic Value Management (EVM) - Successful/timely completion of monthly/quarterly deliverables; Involved in preparing quarterly/annual statutory schedules and financial statement disclosures - Focus on teamwork - taking on additional duties during peak times - Perform key reconciliations and ensure process controls are met consistently - Monitor the collation and tracking of KPIs for end-to-end tasks done during quarter end close - Develop and maintain relationships with local cross-functional business partners and global business partners - Participation in adhoc team projects, including IFRS17 group implementation About the team: Americas Carrier Reporting team is responsible to deliver accurate and timely financials; manage statutory capital requirements for the legal entity; understand and analyze the key business drivers. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for carrier accounting and reporting in support of the Americas P&C reinsurance entities. About you: - 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience - Post-Graduate in Finance/Maths; CA/CPA is a plus - Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Advanced MS Excel is a plus - Strong numerical and analytical skills - Insurance (re) accounting experience is a plus - Possesses a "can do" attitude with high degree of energy and focus on engaging on new ideas - Inquisitive, self-motivating, able to think innovatively, willing to take risk and deliver with mínimal supervision - Demonstrate effective people interaction skills - Take ownership and accountability for the work performed - Thought leadership - integrating information from variety of sources to evaluate alternatives
