**About this role**

This role is to work as a Solution Design Professional as part of our Solution and Architectural Design Function. If you have experience of working as a Solutions Designer or have the transferrable skills and capabilities to perform in the role we would love to hear from you

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Take overall responsibility of requirements clarification and solution design of reusable solutions, with an intention to converge onto the target IT architecture defined for Global
- Take responsibility of the implementation of a solution in collaboration with a matrixed team of delivery managers, system designers and developers, testers
- To ensure reusable solution patterns are aligned to architectural guardrails and baselined on the designated central repository for reference and re-use
- To own and manage the solution designs in her/his respective domains through various delivery modes (viz. waterfall/agile)
- Applies technical expertise to design and develop reusable solution patterns focussed on the respective domain
- Accountable for solution design conforms to the standard Global architectural principles and security guardrails
- Creates, owns and implements the technical solutions and inputs into the roadmaps for the respective domain
- Liaises with CFU and customer stakeholders, ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design
- To work with respective delivery and engineering teams and colleagues across BT to ensure projects are successful

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Should have deep knowledge of at least one telecommunication related technology covering either of the following areas: SDWAN/LAN/Voice/Compute
- Should have prior hands-on experience on designing end-to-end solutions in the Telecommunications service domain
- Should have good knowledge of eTOM or ITIL or similar standards in the telecoms space
- Showcased expertise on a project or a specific piece of work
- Made decisions in ambiguous situations using incomplete information or differing opinions (e.g. unclear deliverables)
