We are currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team.
As an Assistant Accountant at Polyweld Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the finance team with monthly and annual financial reporting. You will help maintain accurate financial records, handle accounts payable and receivable, and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and tax requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial reports.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Review and verify invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
- Assist with tax filings, including VAT/GST and other regulatory requirements.
- Support the payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Monitor and maintain petty cash transactions.
- Provide support during audits and assist with the preparation of audit reports.
- Help prepare financial forecasts and participate in the budgeting process.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems or process improvements.
- Ensure all accounting procedures comply with local laws and regulations.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Busy, or similar platforms).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local tax laws, financial regulations, and GST/VAT compliance.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
