As an EH&S Executive of IFF India, you will be responsible to ensure Safe work environment for all employees ie. accident & injury free workplace (without any incidents and accidents) by training employees, Daily shop floor inspection, implementing various Safe work permit systems, company policies and procedures and reporting & taking actions for all Near Misses & Safety observations. You will be reporting to EH&S Manager.
**About You**:
To be successful in this role you must have 4 - 5 years of experience with EHS department in Chemical / Pharma / Food industry. Any BE / M.Sc in Environmental Engineering preferred and Diploma In Safety will be an added advantage.
- You will spend your time- Safety Induction to all new joiners and contract employees
- Taking care of Effluent treatment plant and its daily performance and ensure all the parameters are well with in the Local regulatory (PCB) requirements.
- Conduct Periodic Environmental monitoring and various workplace monitoring and record those results and make plan for improvements.
- To support EHS Manager/ Lead in the day today activities.
- Support EHS Manager for conducting various fire Drills, evacuation drill and planned trainings.
- Support EHS manager for implementing various EHS Management systems like ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & SEDEX compliances.
- Review and implementation of all Global policies and Site-specific policies.
- Ensure all required PPEs are available at site and issued to departments on time.
- Regular inspection of all production blocks, external areas like ETP, Scrap yard and all utility areas
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections, identify the gaps and coordinate for closure of findings.
- Conduct Aspect Impact assessment (AIM) and Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis (HIRA) for all activities and prepare control plans for all significant aspects and Risks and Hazard.
- Daily Monitoring the Safe work permits for all non-routine activities and other activities in campus to ensure safe working.
- Recording of Safety Near miss / Safety observations from various departments, follow up for timely closure of safety findings and conduct trend analysis for Safety Near miss / Safety observations.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets (MSDS) are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
- Conduct periodic inspection of Zoned areas and report and initiate actions if any gaps are found.
- Conduct regular checking of Grounding & Bonding compliances at shopfloor.
- Coordinate and support for implementation of site EHS & Global EHS actions as per the timeline.
- Investigating all the incidents and implementing suitable actions across the site to prevent similar incidents.
- Monitoring compliances with Legal & safety standards.

**Job Requirements**:
**Required Skills**:

- BE / M.Sc in Environmental Engineering or equivalent with overall 4-5 years with EHS dept in Chemical / Pharma / Food industry.
- Requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Diploma In Safety and Knowledge of environment regulation will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication/listening skills, written and verbal. (English / Tamil / Telugu / Hindi)
- Interpersonal skills.
- Strong decision making and analytical abilities.
