**Job Description & Responsibilities - Panchakarma Therapist**

**Daily Duties & Responsibilities**
- **Duty Schedule**: The working schedule, including timings, will be displayed at the scheduling desk. Therapists will also be informed via phone and must adhere strictly to the schedule.
- **Reporting Time**: Therapists must report to duty at least **15 minutes** before their scheduled time.
- **Job Card Collection**: Therapists must collect the job card from the scheduling desk, duly signed by the scheduling staff.
- **Job Card Checklist**: Ensure the job card includes the following details:

- Patient's Name and UHID No.
- Patient's Room Number
- Scheduled Treatment
- Specific Instructions for Therapy
- Type of Oil to be Used
- Duration of Therapy
- Therapist’s Name
- Treating Doctor’s Name
- Scheduled Time and Treatment Room
- Therapist’s Signature Column
- Read the job card thoroughly before each treatment.
- Collect vessels, oils, Kizhis, and medicines in advance from the Preparation & Therapy Implementation Desk.
- Collect necessary accessories (e.g., towels, gloves) from the Implementation Desk.
- Arrange all collected materials in the scheduled treatment room.
- Escort the patient from their room, verify identity using name and UHID number with a proper salutation. This is mandatory.
- For In-Patient Attenders, identity verification is also required.
- For OPD patients, collect the patient from the Kaya Reception upon confirmation of PCE, verifying name and UHID.
- Begin therapy **as per the time mentioned** in the job card.
- Assist patients in preparing for the therapy session if needed.
- Adjust the Pathy height to help the patient comfortably lie down.
- Once the patient is on the Pathy, inform them of the **therapy start time**, referring to the wall clock.
- Conduct therapy **as per SOP and job card instructions**.
- Inform the patient of the **therapy end time**.
- Wipe the patient’s feet with a towel and advise them to bathe after therapy.
- Record **Start and End Time** on the job card and obtain the **patient’s signature**.
- If the patient is vulnerable, obtain the signature from the patient’s attender.
- After updating the job card, assist the patient back to their room.
- Kaya Block PCE will collect feedback from OPD patients.
- Post-therapy, clean the Pathy, stove, steam chamber handle, credenza, and ensure **all materials used are collected and removed**.
- Used Kizhis must be disposed of in the **yellow dustbin** in the treatment room.
- Dispose of **bio-medical waste as per procedure** during patient bathing time.
- Record each treatment in the **log book** at the scheduling desk.
- Log any observations regarding the patient's condition, improvements, or complaints (e.g., pain, burning sensation).
- Submit the **completed job card** to the scheduling staff.
- Return leftover oils and vessels to the Preparation Department or Medicine Room.
- Perform proper **handwashing** using the standard handwashing technique after returning materials.

**General Guidelines**
- Follow all instructions and procedures as trained.
- For assistance, contact the scheduling desk using the intercom. **Do not leave patients unattended.**:

- Always wear PPE (mask, headband, etc.) inside the treatment room.
- Provide technical feedback to MOs/JMOs.
- Report non-technical issues or faults in equipment to the scheduling staff and record them in the log book.
- Ensure the **music system is on** during therapy, except in J-Block.
- Do not share personal information with patients.
- If MOs/JMOs are unavailable for Panchakarma supervision, inform the scheduling desk for coordination.
- In case of emergencies or patient discomfort, inform the scheduling desk immediately.
- Use the **Pathy bed** for all treatments (except for Tailadhara, Nhavarakizhi, etc.), as trained.
- Inform the nurse station regarding **Vasti food** for the patient, specifying the patient’s name and room number.
- Resolve technical queries with the Panchakarma-in-Charge; non-technical ones with the Manager - Technical Operations.
- **Attendance at General Body Meetings and Training Programs is mandatory.**:

- **Late arrivals and absenteeism will not be tolerated.**:

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
