Job Title: SQL Database Administrator II

SCOPE

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Implementing backup plans, developing and testing disaster recovery scenarios, managing security, server sizing, and performance tuning.
- Will be required to proactively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical peers and project teams
- Participates in the design, development and delivery of Reporting Services & Analysis Services, Schema modeling, stored procedures, SSIS packages, triggers and views.
- Maintains contemporary knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques
- Experience/Knowledge with high transaction volumes and clustered SQL Server 2012/14/16 environments is preferred
- Self-starter and able to address and troubleshoot system issues.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and effectively manage own time and priorities
- Will be required to proactively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical peers and project teams
- Building / Supporting SSIS for ETL

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a DBA.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- High volume commercial experience with cluster services, mirroring, and log shipping.
- Solid understanding of contemporary database administration methodology.
- Commercial Experience with Microsoft SQL 2014, 2016 and/or 2017
- TSQL Programming; writing, debugging all mandatory (Index support, Query Plan analysis)
- Production Cluster Support (AG and Traditional failover technology) with Geolocation
- Support Operations and Development
- Building / Supporting SSIS for ETL and C# / VB Script experience
