**About Aptiv**
**Major Accountabilities**:
Utilize CAD software to create detailed design models, drawings, and specifications for mechanical components and systems used in hardware and product engineering projects.
Conduct DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential failure modes and risks associated with mechanical designs, ensuring the reliability and safety of hardware and product engineering solutions.
Integrate electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) considerations into mechanical designs, ensuring that hardware and product engineering solutions comply with EMC standards and regulations.
Perform structural analysis and simulations to evaluate the mechanical integrity and performance of components and systems under various loading conditions and environmental factors.
Implement thermal management strategies in mechanical designs to address heat dissipation, thermal regulation, and thermal protection requirements for electronic components and systems.
Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to optimize heat transfer and thermal performance, ensuring reliability and longevity of hardware solutions.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, communicating design requirements effectively to manufacturing and quality assurance teams.
**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:
The Mold designer will be responsible for Mold design against customer requirements, FMEA and DFM studies, prepare detailed design plan and time schedule, organize feasibility study and create risk analysis for the RFQ’s for Molds, Stamping Tools & Assemblies, conduct concept reviews and design reviews, coordination of technical departments on design reviews, support project team for release of drawing with necessary documentation, maintain the design data base with continual updates, do complete design of Injection Molds, Stamping Tools, Jigs, Fixtures gauges on NX, do 2D to 3D conversion of drawings.
