As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost related to construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budgetary constraints. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on thorough analysis of materials, labor, and other expenses.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial plans.
Tendering Process: Prepare tender documents, analyze bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to mitigate risks and avoid cost overruns during construction.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting cost variations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Change Management: Assess and manage changes in project scope, including evaluating cost implications and negotiating variations with relevant parties.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to cost and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project profitability and sustainability.
Dispute Resolution: Handle cost-related disputes and claims, working to achieve fair and equitable resolutions for all parties involved.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements pertaining to cost management and reporting.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
